White squirrel power
The town of Brevard, N.C., is holding a White Squirrel Festival over the Memorial Day weekend. The small Western North Carolina town claims to be the home of the white squirrel.
While the festival has music, drink and dance, the main focus seems to be the centered around the pigment-challenged little rodent.

According to numerous reports, Clemson University has a major squirrel problem.
The Charleston The Post and Courier reports that squirrels are three times more prevalent on the Clemson campus than in normal wooded area, causing numerous problems including damage to trees.
